Gijubhai Badheka was a pioneer educationist and known for bringing the Montessori education system to India. He was nicknamed ‘Moochhali Maa’ (mother with Whiskers) by Mahatma Gandhi for his impactful technique of storytelling to the growing children. In this project, I have drawn vividly colorful comic characters and scenes to match and complement the tone, drama, amusement and humour of each story. Through these illustrations, I have tried to sustain the amusement and imagination that is inherent in each story.
